    Yeah my RX-65 did that and my RX-45 does, if you don't get dead in the sights sometimes it will never go full alert. Maybe is a function of the stalker units on the cars here in the south SF bay.

    There was a moto cop that set off Ka miles away down a side alley till I found him on the main drag. He left it on because he was waiting a stoplight holding nothing.

    what off axis detection like on ka band ??? good vid by the way... never have to deal with this over here in oz as every thing from instant on ....laser and radar is off axis

    The RX65 with the M4 antenna has the classic M4 tunnel vision. But it's Ka Band performance is better than K Band which I always thought was weird.

    Yes it always does that unless its close range instant on and it will go full blast and the screen will even flash.
    That was some nice range witht the M4!

    The older S7 has the same type of ramp up (will not go solid unless it's a strong IO blast) but does seem to be a bit more progressive and slightly more urgent when you close in on a CO signal.
