How do you go about updating the DR400G?

You put the update files on the micro SD card and plug it back in, and it auto-updates. Last update was in November, though.

There is a new update on Pittasoft Web site. Version 1.38

Good call. It was actually on the BlackVue South Korean website (not the Pittasoft, at least not that I could find). Here's a link to the v1.038 published on 2/27:

i think it might be a new release but hasnt been added to the normal web page yet , i cant down any thing from that site not even the earlier f/w 3.07

Are you able to download it? I am not.

I was, but now it's dead. Even the 1.037 update is gone from that site. The regular Pittasoft site just has the v1.037.

I said screw it and bought the blackvue for 279 from Siddha trading. They actually have them in stock. The seller for $250 is selling units before he even gets them. He's on like the 5th backorder now. No way I would pay when the seller doesnt even have the product.

I loomed into the dod since its $100 less, but the reviews on amazon weren't great about its reliability.

Should get this next week. This will be good timing with my rear LIs cus I'm about to start driving long distances again.

bought mine from them good to deal with , also comes with a full english manual, i posted earlier about may be there was some dogy sellers on ebay with this cam

I bought from this guy a few sec ago.

What are your guys thoughts on the ebay warranty since we technically have none after the 7 days and if something goes wrong after...well?

I cancelled from the sale from the siddha_trading @ $279 seller and purchased from krdepot @ $249 & went with the 34.99 3yr Square trade warranty. Its a really good cam and IMO worth the warranty. The fact that we have no dealers here in case something crops didn't sit well with me- I know my luck. I feel much better now.

I wonder how the quality is compared to the HD Hero2, since the quality of the HD Hero2 is suppose to be a lot better. Does anybody currently have the HD Hero2 to compare?

Are u talking about the HD Hero2 vs the Blackvue dr400g? If so I'm sure daytime and sound would be better. But night is where I think the blackvue personally shines. As well it auto deletes old footage.
